It is in İkikubbe Neighbourhood .It was named as “Monk Kumbet”.There are different views for the year of instruction. There are views like it belongs to 12-13th century by looking at the construction, style and material, to the end of 14th century for the character as a Karakoyunlu work, belongs to 15th century or first half of the 14th century. It is two-storey.The bottom of the kumbet is 6.20x6.20 meters sized. The upper floor is dodecagonal, prismal bodied, covered with a dome internally, pyramid roof externally.Above the funerary floor which can be reached by a stair on the east direction is covered with a barrel vault in the east-west line.It is lightenedwith crenel Windows on the east, west and South fronts. It is passed from the square pedestal corners to the dodecagonal body with triangle chamfers. There is a belt with and interlaced motif here.On the twelve fronts of the body broken lined arched niches with in the shape of Bursa niche on tops, adorn the body.On the four fronts of the body which shows a simple craftsmanship, door and window niches were opened.Above these are adorned with rich muqarnases. Each side of the dodecagon prism body is enlivened by superficial carved niches in the form of Bursaarch..On the iner surface of the body very unclearhand-carved decorations on plaster are available.to the masjid floor it is to go up with twosided stairs. There are Windows on the east, west and South fronts. Below the cone of the body is enlivened with a 40 cm.molding with mingling interlaced motif. The surface of the pyramidal roof resembles wood veneer with vertical line round wickes. Since there is no epitaph it isn’t known why it was called “Monk Kumbet”.According to the record of Müverrih Vardan, in the middle of the 12th century, in the ruler of Ahlat II. Sökmen era, there was a priest called Avet who lives in Ahlatshah country, philanthropical, protects the orphans. When this priest whose fame was sprud everywhere came to Ahlat, the ruler of Ahlat; 2. Sökmen welcomed the priest Avet with a ceremony. But some other priests envied his fame and his dignity that comes from the ruler of the Ahlat; II. Sökmen and slandered him.Because of this slander Priest Avet was stoned to death. Then it was understood that the incident is defamatory, Priest Avet was innocent and was killed wrongfully II. Sökmen built this kumbet in homage to Avet in his memory
