Emir Bayindir Kumbet
It was built on about 2 meters South of the masjid; it is known as parmaklıklı (Barred) kumbet among the people because of the eight short columns around. This architecture is the most remarkable one amongst not only the kumbets in Ahlat but also the ones in Anatolia by the architectural composition of its body.At the upper side on the epitaph that surrounds the top of the structure, it was indicated that Bayindir Bey died on Ramadan month in year 886 (November 1481) and it was told about his titles and life.It is believed that the architect of the kumbet which was built by his wife Sah Selime Hatun after the death of bayındır Bey, is Baba Can who has the epitaph on the side wall of masjid and it is being discussed whether he is a craftsman from Azerbaijan or Ahlat.(see for detailed in formation: Sonmez, p.371) The most distinctive feature of Bayındır Kumbetthat sets apart it from the other kumbets is the presence of columns and arches with cylindrical body on a square base, and outward overfloving compressed cone opening to the South. A tapered cone is located on the body that is coverel with a dome internally.Borders which is dominant as geometric ornaments in the body, belts and niches made the masonry look more magnificent by clinching it.Parallel to the semi-open interior with geometric and floral decorations in the outdoors also draw particular attention to the preferred mihrab niche and embellishments contained in the walls are remarkably beautiful.
